Most Russians will celebrate Valentine's Day

2009-02-10  Most Russians will celebrate Valentine's Day
Most Russians to celebrate St.Valentine`s Day

According to the recent polls, held in 46 regions of Russia 60% of
Russians will celebrate Valentine`s Day. Among them mostly students
and not married, in general, young people up to 25 years old.

The study that questioned 1600 Russians showed, that every second
Russian is in love, however more men than women happen to be in love:
56% men and 44% women.

On February 14 the world celebrates Saint Valentine`s Day, the holiday
for people in love and one of the most commercialized holidays. In
Russia as in any other country, the sale of sweets, cards and other
stuff soars up to the sky as well as the number of declarations of
love - the essential spirit of the holiday.

We would like to remind our gentlemen, that there is still time to send flowers or a gift to be delivered by Valentine's. Even if you are a day or two late - don't worry. There is a good Russian saying: "Late is better than never".
